Taken from Hugh-panaro.net. Please, if you were looking forward to the OBCR of Lestat, take a few minutes to write to the following people regarding it's release. If they see there is enough of an interest I think it's very possible to change TPTB mind's on the matter. The cast was so wonderful, they really deserve to haver their hard work heard around the world.
"As of today, the news at eltonjohn.com is that there are "no plans to release the album at present." In other words, this recording, as well as the hard work and talent of this amazing cast is being tossed aside like a bit of discarded scenery.
However, I was finally able to speak with someone at Mercury's New York City offices. The correct contact information is below. The person I spoke to recommended sending a letter to each separately.
Matt Sill, Producer, c/o Mercury Records, 825 8th Ave., New York, NY 10019
Guy Babylon, Producer, c/o 825 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Also, at this time, it is worth appealing to Sir Elton John. Since he was willing to promote this as some of his finest work when the show was formally announced last summer, he should stand behind it now. It may also be worth writing to the show's lyricist, Bernie Taupin, as well.
